The Professional Gridiron Group hosted their 2nd Annual Fall Networking Event on November 11, 2021 at Collision Bend Brewing in Cleveland. The event was a tremendous success of bringing business professionals together for a night of networking, camaraderie, and furthering the mission of the PGG.
Highlighting the evening was the guest speaker, Jeff Cass. Jeff is the President of Airgas Great Lakes Division in Independence. He has served the organization for over 20 years and has grown his professional career in engineering, program management, and operational excellence. Jeff attributes much of his success to the education and coaching that he gained through the game of football, especially while attending Grove City College. Jeff was a standout athlete in football, where, as the starting quarterback and captain of the team, he was a record setter, National Football Foundation Scholar-Award winner, and two-time MVP. Jeff spoke to the audience about the correlation of success in football and success in the business community, including stories of teamwork, working for the “name on the front of the jersey”, and exercising humility in achievement.
The members of the Professional Gridiron Group are made up of business professionals in multiple disciplines and diverse backgrounds. Attendees have the ability to openly connect to professionals in finance, real estate, manufacturing, human resources, insurance, and other fields. Examples of the successful connections that have been made include: engineering/construction consultants, small businesses/payroll services, and career seekers/human resource professionals. The purpose of networking is to enhance personal and professional brands, and many attendees have successfully done so!
